Frequently Asked Questions
-
How to I schedule an appointment?
Booking days are announced on social media. During the booking window, visit my website and fill out an appointment request form. Once you’ve submitted the form, allow up to 3 weeks for a response. Check your junk mail! Every submission will be reviewed, regardless of submission time.
-
What are your hours?
I work by appointment only. I do not accept walk-ins.
I tattoo Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, and Friday. I do not schedule appointments on the weekends due to other responsibilities. On the weekdays listed above, I tattoo between the hours of 10am and 6pm. No appointments are scheduled outside of this time period.
-
Where are you located?
Sweet Needles Tattoo Studio, owned and operated by Kendra Kay
The address for the studio is 4905 S Western Street, Amarillo TX.
-
How much do you charge?
My minimum starts at $150 for the simplest designs.
My rate is $200 per hour for all other appointments.
A $100 deposit is required for all appointments.
-
Does the deposit go towards the total price of my tattoo?
Yes! The $100 deposit acts as a retainer fee. For example, if you are getting a 2 hour tattoo for $400, you will owe the remaining $300 on the day of the tattoo.
-
How do I lose my deposit?
Deposits are nonrefundable. Your deposit is forfeited if you cancel the appointment or no show.
-
I can't make my appointment time! Can I reschedule?
I will honor one reschedule per deposit with enough notice.
If you attempt to reschedule with short notice, your deposit will be forfeited and you will need to wait until the next booking cycle.
-
Do you do cover-ups?
Though there are occasionally exceptions, the usual answer is no. In the event I’m asked to do one, I will look at the tattoo and see if it is something I would be interested in taking on. If not, I will do my best to refer you to another artist suited to your request.
-
Can I see my design ahead of time?
I do not send images of the design prior to the appointment. If you have inspiration photos, please attach them to your booking request form. This will ensure we have the same aesthetic vision for your tattoo.
There will be enough time set aside during the appointment for any minor changes.
-
What happens if I'm late to my appointment?
Being punctual is essential!
I schedule my days in order to be able to accept as many booking requests as possible. Even being a few minutes late can affect my entire work day. Be aware that if you are more than 10 minutes late, there is the possibility of your appointment being rescheduled.
Please do not arrive more than 30 minutes early.
